News Cafe Umhlanga Ridge is owned by the dynamic Kevin Subramany. Having grown up with business owner parents, Kevin developed a keen eye for business ownership. Previously Kevin worked at South African Airways Technical for six years and after that he joined his brothers in their family owned construction company and managed the civil engineering part of the business. He has also previously owned and worked in a coffee shop in Cape Town, Long Street and most recently joined the Fournews family as the franchisee of News Cafe Umhlanga. “I am overwhelmed by the support from the Fournews and News Cafe Teams, I look forward to a successful adventure and excited to be apart of the “vibe”, says Subramany.
The all new Umhlanga Ridge News Cafe store design is in line with the News Cafe flagship store design concept. “We have put a lot of detail into the design of the store from the 7-meter custom hand made glass chandelier to the chipped plaster mural looming behind the bar”, says Studio A’s Tristan Du Plessis of the design team. Owner Kevin Subramany has pulled out all the stops to make sure that he breathes life into the store and has played an integral part of the design. Kevin pushed the team to create a truly special and layered store for the Umhlanga Market.
News Cafe Umhlanga Ridge is the perfect destination for a business breakfast an on the go lunch, sundowners or a giant birthday celebration ultimately “Living in the moment”.
