Shamen Reddi of Impulse by the Sea’s prawn curry recipe

Owner of Impulse by the Sea Shamen Reddi shares her prawn curry recipe with us… 

Ingredients :

1 medium onion chopped
4-5 green chillies
6-8 grated tomatoes
1T ginger/garlic
¼ tsp turmeric
3T fish masala
I t mustard seeds
Salt
Coriander
Prawns deveined and shelled

Method:

  1. Heat oil in a pot
  2. Add mustard seeds until they splutter
  3. Sauté onions ,add ginger/garlic ,chillies
  4. Add tomatoes,turmeric,masala
  5. Lower temperature and simmer. Add salt to taste.
  6. Add prawns and cook for a further 10 mins
  7. Garnish with coriander and serve.
