East Coast Radio bids fond farewell to Bongani

East Coast Radio would like to wish presenter Bongani Mtolo well as he leaves the station to pursue other opportunities. Bongani, who joined the station in 2015 and worked his way up to co-host the East Coast Drive, is leaving on a positive note. Bongani made the decision to leave the station as other opportunities have become available to him.

East Coast Radio Programming Manager Zane Derbyshire says, “Bongani is a massively talented and ambitious presenter. He is a true example of working his way up, having presented late night and early morning shows to more recently being the host of the very successful East Coast Urban show and now hosting one of the premium shows on the station, East Coast Drive. We will miss his straight forward approach on the drive home and wish him nothing but success with his future endeavours.”

Of his departure Bongani says, “I’ve had an amazing time at East Coast Radio and I am very excited about my next chapter. Keep an eye out and an ear out to find out where my next chapter is going to be.”
A stand-in presenter to co-host East Coast Drive with Mags and Gareth will be announced shortly, while the station researches and strategises around a new show. Bongani’s last show on air with the drive team will be Thursday 26 July.
